Job Summary

The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food and beverages
  • Set tables and clean up after meals
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes by hand
  • Replenish condiments and supplies
  • Keep records of food quantities used
  • Package take-out food and prepare simple food items
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces
  • Handle and store cleaning products
  • Receive and store supplies
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Sharpen kitchen knives
  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
Work Environment

The Kitchen Helper will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a team of experienced cooks and kitchen staff.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
