Personal Support Worker - Caregiver

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide mobility support and assist with transfers.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding, if needed.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and health status.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
  • Assist with medication reminders under supervision.
  • Report any changes in clients' health or behavior to healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program.
  • Valid G2/G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs (23 kg) independently.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification.
  • Updated immunization records, including a two-step tuberculosis test within the last 6 months.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector check.
