Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join our team.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that will report to the Director of Clinical Standards & Operational Support. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and coordinating a comprehensive quality program within ERS, implementing, operating and monitoring a provincial continuous quality program, and promoting and abiding by professional standards and all applicable regulations/policies within Shared Health.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and coordinate a comprehensive quality program within ERS, ensuring adherence to established standards and policies.
- Implement, operate, and monitor a provincial continuous quality program, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the ERS Medical Director Team to support safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care, promoting best practices and evidence-based medicine.
- Participate in research and innovation projects on a provincial basis, contributing to the development of new programs and initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a graduate degree in a relevant field, such as quality assurance or healthcare administration, and have at least 3-5 years of experience in a related role. A valid Class IV Manitoba driver's license and use of a personal motor vehicle for travel within the zone and province are required. Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analysis of data is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Graduate of a Primary Care Paramedic program held by an accredited Canadian education institution, or a College of Paramedics of Manitoba approved equivalent.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural, social, and ethnic backgrounds is considered an asset.
- Competence in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values is considered an asset.
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, and a pension plan.
