Job Title: Skilled Tradesperson - Painter

VIP DEVELOPMENT LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled tradesperson to join our team as a painter.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to desired colour and texture, measuring, cutting and applying wallpaper and other fabric to walls, advising consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, erecting scaffolding and swing stages and attaching rigging, and applying paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted.
  • Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings.
  • Mix paint to desired colour and texture.
  • Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.
  • Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in painting or related trade.

Estimated Salary:

$50,000 - $70,000 per annum based on location and experience.
