Job Summary
Donna Cona Inc. is seeking a qualified Budget and Compliance Officer to join our team in Ottawa for a 1-year maternity leave contract. As one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, we are committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with accounts payable or receivable, or post-secondary education related to accounting or bookkeeping. They should possess excellent attention-to-detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, good initiative, and the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and in a team environment. Experience with MS Office, especially MS Excel, is essential, while familiarity with Quickbooks Online is considered an asset. Eligibility for government security clearance (Reliability) is also required. Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, including receiving, verifying, and paying invoices;
- Complete bank reconciliations and monthly HST returns;
- Maintain and reconcile various financial spreadsheets;
- Prepare various journal entries;
- Perform related clerical and ad hoc duties;
- Maintain an environment of strong internal controls and continuous process improvement;
- Work with employees on remote sites.
