Job Summary:

The Specialized Services Technician will be working alongside a team of highly trained individuals who handle the company's most dynamic projects. This individual will be highly motivated, coachable, and willing to obtain further training while always displaying a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution of chemical and petroleum transfers, including materials handling.
  • Confined Space Entry projects, including tank cleanings, as an entrant, man watch, or rescue attendant.
  • HAZMAT Emergency Response and responding to spills.
  • Transloading of railcars, including liquid and solid products.
  • Environmental projects and assisting as required.
  • Technical rescue services.
  • Decontamination projects under the direction of a project leader.
  • Participation in projects deemed out of scope or requiring more planning and preparation.

Requirements:

  • A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract is required; a valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license would be considered an asset.
  • Physical fitness and ability to wear chemical protective clothing and respiratory protection as required.
  • Flexibility with their schedule and ability to work extended hours as needed, and meet the travel requirements of this position.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with vacuum trucks and power wash equipment would be an asset.
