Job Title: Pediatric Radiology Department Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished pediatric radiologist to advance the research, academic, and clinical pillars of the Department of Radiology at BC Children's Hospital.

About the Department:

The Department of Radiology at BC Children's Hospital includes a team of 18 pediatric radiologists, pediatric interventional radiologists, and nuclear medicine physicians. We are equipped with state-of-the-art 3T and T MRI, CT, US, Nuclear Medicine, fluoroscopy, radiography, and angiography/IR systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the clinical, educational, and research roles of the department are achieved in accordance with the purpose, vision, and goals of BCCH and PHSA, as well as the Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia.
  • Share responsibility for the overall management of the department's clinical programs, driving the planning and delivery of medical services based on the needs of the department, the hospital, and the province.
  • Work in collaboration with other medical leaders in the hospital and Health Authorities within BC to enable improved patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Deliver and manage medical programs, including quality, safety, and medical staff development and support within the department.

Qualifications:

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the Province of British Columbia.
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Completion of a recognized fellowship in Pediatric Radiology or Pediatric Neuroradiology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership in clinical research, education, or quality improvement.
  • At least 10 years of advancing leadership experience.
