Job Overview

Reports to: General Foreman, Welding and Machine Shop

Shift: 7x7, 12-hour shifts

Location: British Columbia

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, and drill presses to manufacture precision parts.
  • Develop and implement complex machining programs using conversational and G-Code controls.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to design and optimize tool paths for efficient machining operations.
  • Set up and operate field boring and milling equipment as required on customer sites.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments.
  • Maintain and operate a variety of machine tools, including specialized and advanced equipment.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Be willing to work overtime and adapt to rotating shifts.
  • Collaborate with other machinists, millwrights, and apprentices in the field environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Possession of Journeyperson Machinist Trades Certification is preferred.
  • Experience with G-Code programming and CAD/CAM software is essential.
  • Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and precision instruments.
  • Must have no restrictions for access to mine sites.
  • Valid driver's license required.
