Job Description

Cook Nook Inc is seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough and batters for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure a well-stocked bakery.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection, meeting high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Prepare special orders for customers, including custom cakes and pastries.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to add a touch of elegance and flair.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently to meet production demands.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure a well-stocked bakery and minimize waste.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Fluency in English or French is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • 40 hours per week of work, with flexibility to meet the demands of a busy bakery.
