About the Role

The Centre de production de produits biologiques Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for processing and recording daily accounting operations and participating in the creation and implementation of tools to improve our accounting and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting Operations: Prepare, review, and maintain all accounting documents as part of the accounting process, including accounts receivable and payable, banking transactions, and all activities related to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare GST/QST reports and perform bank and financial reconciliations.
  • Overdue Accounts: Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Actively participate in the preparation and analysis of month-end financial close, as well as in the analysis of financial statements, in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Participate in the preparation, execution, and analysis of monthly forecasting process results and assist in the preparation and analysis of the annual budget.
  • Audit and Compliance: Assist in the preparation and execution of the annual audit with auditors and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Produce various ad hoc financial analyses to meet the needs of the management team.
Requirements
  • Education: Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Have at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Skills: Be comfortable with ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning systems) and have advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Proficiency in Power BI is an asset.
  • Soft Skills: Be able to work independently in a startup environment, be organized, and have an eye for detail.
