About the Role

Interior Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Director, Supply Chain. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong understanding of healthcare supply chain management and a proven track record of driving improvements and optimizing operations, performance, and costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic and operational relationships with internal and external partners, including other health authorities, provincial organizations, and private sector suppliers.
  • Participate in the provincial health system supply chain to drive improvements and optimize operations, performance, and costs.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of provincial service level agreements and negotiate changes and priorities with the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).
  • Represent Interior Health at governance committees, including PHSA's Category Management and Supply Chain Operations Committees.
  • Provide input into shaping the provincial supply chain strategy, policies, and metrics, while advocating for the unique and nuanced needs of Interior Health, including business continuity requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in a senior leadership role in a healthcare or related industry.
  • Proven track record of driving improvements and optimizing operations, performance, and costs in a supply chain management context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
