Process Specialist Job Description

Vuteq Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Process Specialist to join our team in Woodstock, Ontario.

Job Summary:

The Process Specialist will play a critical role in improving overall efficiency, quality, and productivity of existing processes, as well as the launch of new processes using APQP and Vuteq VPD standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program launches and support new projects with creation and implementation of new processes
  • Analyze part drawings to design rough processes that meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers to determine part specifications and establish equipment requirements
  • Create RFQs and conduct cost analysis
  • Set up equipment and test functionality to ensure it meets customer requirements
  • Integrate new equipment into current plant layout and create cell layouts
  • Support FMEA creation and development, control plans, and standardized work charts
  • Determine manpower requirements and lead trial builds
  • Oversee time trial activity to enhance production efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure all processes meet safety and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a 2-4 year Engineering degree or Engineering technician diploma
  • 2-4 years of high-volume automotive manufacturing and production experience
  • 2-4 years of Lean Manufacturing Principles experience
  • Experience using 3D and 2D CAD software
