Senior CAD Designer

At Exp Global Inc., we're seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Designer to join our Municipal Infrastructure and Land Development team in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality civil engineering projects using Autodesk Civil 3D software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and models for civil engineering projects, including site development, infrastructure, and transportation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design concepts and produce accurate technical drawings and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including grading plans, drainage designs, and utility layouts.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation for project budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company quality control procedures.
  • Support project teams with technical expertise and contribute to project meetings and client presentations.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation to support project deliverables and revisions.
  • Work under the direction of Senior Staff and mentor junior CAD staff.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with 7 to 10 years' experience with a focus on Autodesk Civil 3D software.
  • Strong computer software skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro station, Word & Excel.
  • Proficiency in producing detailed drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D for civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
  • Ability to interpret engineering designs and specifications accurately.
