Job Description

The Senior Director, Data Engineering, will report into the HR Director for Canada and be located in the Vancouver, BC office. This position provides leadership for the office and is primarily engaged in management activities that establish the direction of a department, function, or project for the office.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead, inspire, and motivate a team in partnership with the Canada HR Operations team and Mining & Metals HR Business Partner to provide effective HR solutions.
  2. Effectively implement and execute HR initiatives (salary planning, performance appraisals, ethics disclosures) to align with business strategy.
  3. Foster the advancement of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion through leadership in various groups including participation in the Canadian Inclusion Council.
  4. Provide leadership in organizational development, design, and capability including change implementation with a focus on: leadership, employee, and team engagement and development.

This role requires the application of HR knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, and compliance programs.

  • A strong understanding of human resources principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Able to lead, direct, and communicate collaboratively within a globally diverse environment.

The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
