Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Attendant to join our team at William Osler Health System. As a key member of our communication team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Life safety and code announcements and notifications
  • Alarm monitoring and alert notifications
  • Physician and staff locating/paging
  • Answering/transferring internal and external calls
  • Providing information to internal and external customers
  • Equipment troubleshooting
  • Updating of information/policies/procedures and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Recent work experience with UCCX contact centre technology
  • Recent experience using Engage/Vina communication system preferred
  • Familiarity with mobile device and smart phones and apps
  • High school diploma
  • A minimum of 40 words per minute typing speed required
  • Internet and Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency required
  • Proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills/customer service skills
  • Proven ability to work in stressful situations
  • Proven excellent multi-tasking ability
  • Proven excellent/reliable attendance record over the past 18 months required
  • Proven excellent punctuality and work record
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment within the context of departmental procedures
  • Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
  • Medical terminology an asset
  • Proven team player
  • Travel Between all Osler sites required

Working Conditions

This is a fully on-site first role, requiring the ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. The successful candidate will be required to travel between all Osler sites.

Compensation

The hourly salary range for this position is $23.54 - $25.33.
