Job Title: Database Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Manager to join our team at the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. As a Database Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's databases to ensure efficient data management and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop database systems to meet the needs of our organization
  • Implement data administration policies, standards, and models
  • Develop and maintain computer databases to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Document reporting needs, queries, logic, results, and recommendations to other information systems professionals
  • Liaise with staff on data requirements, collection, and availability
  • Setup the IT infrastructure to allow applications to access databases
  • Test data models and database management systems
  • Develop and implement data administration policy, standards, and models
  • Research and document data requirements, data collection, and administration policy, and data access rules
  • Develop policies and procedures for network access and usage and for the backup and recovery of data
  • Lead and co-ordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards, and models
  • Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers
  • Provide customer service

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of experience in database management
  • Strong knowledge of database software and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
