Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily operations at Bakery Nakamura. This role involves supervising staff, establishing work schedules, and requisitioning kitchen supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage staff scheduling and workload to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
  • Source and procure necessary food and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient operations.
  • Train and develop staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation to control costs.
  • Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to support bakery operations.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.

Supervision:
  • Supervise a team of 11-15 staff members.
  • Work with a diverse team including cooks, food service counter attendants, food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers.

Work Environment:
  • Work in a fast-paced bakery setting.
  • Ongoing permanent work term.
  • English language required.
  • 30-44 hours per week.
  • Public transportation available.
