Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Team Lead of Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the planning and development of health and wellness programs, participating in program delivery, and supporting the scheduling of group fitness programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in program delivery through instructing group fitness classes, delivering Y Thrive appointments, and personal training
- Support the scheduling of the weekly Group Fitness program and arrange for class coverage as required
- Assist in the development and promotion of seasonal wellness programs
- Drive member engagement and retention through the delivery and promotion of the Y Thrive program
- Assist in providing support to staff and volunteers
- Support the creation of a weekly group fitness schedule based on staff and volunteer availability
Requirements
- College diploma or university degree in Physical Fitness Management, Recreation Management, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, or related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar role, including leadership experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and a strong team player
