About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Data Analyst to join our Specialized Care Data Management team at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and releasing reporting and analytical products that support home care, long-term care, mental health, and inpatient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of specialized care reporting tools and databases.
  • Support the development of technical documentation on data quality and reporting products.
  • Participate in data load activities and contribute to data releases, products, and services.
  • Conduct analyses for data requests and capacity building activities.
  • Assist in the development and testing of new data collection and reporting modules.
  • Interpret and document results for analytical and client support products.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Epidemiology, Health Information, Statistics, Social Sciences, Health/Business Administration).
  • 1-3 years' experience in data collection, data quality, analysis, report development, and/or dissemination of research.
  • Experience with manipulation and statistical software (e.g., Python, R, SAS or other statistical software).
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Fluency in English is required; bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.

In this role, you can expect a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
