Retail Store Manager Lead

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager Lead to join our team at Decathlon Canada Inc.
As a Retail Store Manager Lead, you will be responsible for supervising staff, hiring and training new employees, teaching interest or professional development courses, ordering merchandise, authorizing returns, establishing work schedules, preparing sales reports, and resolving issues that may arise.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate store staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Hire, train, and develop employees to meet business needs
- Develop and implement effective inventory management systems
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales, merchandising, and personnel matters
- Maintain a positive and respectful work environment
- Manage store operations, including staffing, inventory control, and visual merchandising
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints in a professional manner
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of retail management experience or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and providing excellent customer service
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits, including bonus, group insurance benefits, life insurance, mileage paid, Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), stocks/shares, dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, and vision care benefits.
