Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Skilled Tradesperson - Woodworking and Maintenance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to woodworking and maintenance, including preparing estimates of labor and/or material costs, reading blueprints and determining work requirements, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood and other materials.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare estimates of labor and/or material costs;
  2. Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements;
  3. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials;
  4. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems;
  5. FIT AND INSTALL WINDOWS, DOORS, STAIRS, MOULDINGS, AND HARDWARE;
  6. Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements
  • Degree in carpentry or equivalent experience;
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the trade;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor.
