Health Sciences North is a leading healthcare organization in Northeastern Ontario, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and advancing medical research.
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join our team in the Cancer Centre, where we receive over 3000 new cancer patients each year and conduct approximately 38,000 radiation therapy visits annually.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a three (3) year Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited university and be registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO).
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
As a Radiation Therapist, you will work closely with Radiation Oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of radiation treatment and related services to patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with Radiation Oncologists
- Conduct quality assurance tests on technical equipment and initiate corrective action as required
- Verify patient information and machine parameters using computer systems
We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan through the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).
We also provide education funding support and opportunities for professional development and advancement within the organization.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a healthcare environment
- Current registration with the CMRTO
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
