We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at WSP Canada. As a Senior Project Manager - Mining Consulting, you will be responsible for managing budgets, scope, schedules, resourcing, and client satisfaction while working closely with professionals from WSP's teams across Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Manage budgets, scope, schedules, resourcing, and client satisfaction for mining consulting projects.
- Work closely with professionals from WSP's teams across Canada to ensure successful project delivery.
- Use project management tools, methods, and best practices to plan and manage projects in a way that aligns with the expectations of stakeholders and meets business needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop risk registers to ensure project success.
- Manage multi-discipline teams of consultants to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Proven focus on the management of clients and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of work experience, including three (3) years of consulting and/or project management experience.
- French and/or English speaking candidates will be considered.
- Demonstrated experience with project financial tracking, and change management related to scopes of work.
- Understanding and adherence to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMI).
- Experience in identifying and mitigating against project risks and developing risk registers.
- Expertise in project planning, tracking, and analysis (e.g., using MS Excel or similar programs).
- Highly organized, adaptable, a developing leader, and calm under pressure.
- Experience in managing multi-discipline teams of consultants.
- Proven focus on the management of clients and subcontractors.
- PMI Project Management Professional is an asset.
- Experience in the use of MS Project and/or P6 Primavera.
