About the Role

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and Air Brakes Endorsement. Previous experience in long-haul trucking is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy: You will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer or flatbed unit to transport goods safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload goods: You will load and unload goods at designated locations, following all safety protocols.
  • Oversee vehicle condition: Regularly inspect your vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs: In the event of a breakdown, you will perform basic repairs to get back on the road.

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and a comprehensive training program.

Relocation costs will be covered by the employer.
