Chemotherapy Oncology Care Specialist

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values of Island Health, patient and staff safety is a top priority. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients/clients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards. This includes working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must possess current registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Additionally, you should have a minimum of two years' recent experience in a related field, preferably in oncology nursing. Basic Life Support certification (Level C) is also required. Certification in Oncology Nursing from The Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) is considered an asset.
