About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at Workstar Framing Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials from vehicles and equipment.
  • Site Assistance: Provide support to our carpenters and construction team members on site, including assisting with drilling and blasting rock, framing houses, and erecting walls and roofs.
  • Material Handling: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are in good working order.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. You will be required to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with a regular schedule.
