Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Obstetrics department at St. John Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in Perinatal Care, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management and in accordance with the UHNBC mission statement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Implement and evaluate nursing practice activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Advanced preparation in a Perinatal clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Fetal Health Surveillance and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 2 years.
  • Post-graduate courses (within the last 5 years) appropriate to service assignment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
