Position Overview

The Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering at Concordia University invites applications for a 12-month Limited Term Appointment contract at the rank of Lecturer in the area of Industrial Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach fundamental undergraduate courses in Industrial Engineering, including facilities planning and warehouse operations, human factors engineering, computer-integrated manufacturing, and stochastic models in industrial engineering.
  • Teach Master of Engineering courses such as applied probability and statistics, discrete-event simulation, advanced quality control, and design and operation of supply chain networks.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum in Industrial Engineering.
  • Participate in departmental service activities, such as committee work and student advising.

Qualifications and Assets

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Membership in a Canadian professional engineering association, preferably in Quebec, is required.
  • Industrial experience will be a definite asset.
  • Strong commitment to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in diverse areas.
