About the Role

The Student Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating technical and administrative tasks, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders. They will work closely with Site Superintendents, Clients, Consultants, and Subcontractors to deliver high-quality projects.

Key Tasks

  • Preparation of tenders and coordination of activities to optimize jobsite operations.
  • Problem anticipation and work arrangement to avoid schedule delays and rush orders.
  • Method development and implementation to achieve or improve on budgeted hours and due dates.
  • Assistance with estimating duties as required.
  • Ensure the latest construction document revisions are used by Lindsay Construction forces and subcontractors.
  • Project schedule establishment and site meeting attendance.

Requirements

  • A degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and time management skills.
  • Collaboration with project managers and superintendents.
