We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at Lion's Gate Building Maintenance Ltd. as a Building Superintendent. This role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities.
Qualifications:- Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years in a comparable position is preferred.
- Work Schedule: This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, floors, and staircases through sweeping, mopping, and waxing.
- Regularly empty trash receptacles and waste bins.
- Coordinate with contractors for necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct minor repairs on appliances as needed.
- Work autonomously with minimal oversight.
- Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safety.
- Experience: Background in cleaning and maintenance is essential.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaning machines, waxing machines, power tools, lawn mowers, and snowblowers.
- Physical Abilities: Must be capable of handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Weight Handling: Ability to lift items weighing up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
- Personal Attributes: Dependability, strong communication skills, initiative, sound judgment, organizational skills, and reliability are key traits.
