Life Enrichment Assistant Role Summary

Verve Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and engaging environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement programs that cater to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of our residents.
  • Communicate activities and programs to residents, staff, families, and the community to encourage participation.
  • Lead and promote resident awareness and participation in leisure, social, and recreation programs.
  • Assist in the maintenance of department records, including attendance, assessments, and evaluations of planned programs.
  • Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Manager to develop and implement quality improvement standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • Prior experience in recreation programming for a senior population is preferred.
  • Diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in the field of Recreation, Physical Education, and/or Gerontology is considered an asset.
  • Class 5 operator's license, clean driving record, and 2 years passenger driving experience is preferred.
  • Certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR required.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proven computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to handle database programs.
