About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer to join our team at Ontario Impex of Canada Inc. as a Visual Communications Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and effective communications materials for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development
    • Design and develop high-quality graphics, illustrations, and visual elements for print, audio-visual, and electronic materials.
    • Collaborate with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations to meet their communications needs.
  • Project Management
    • Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations.
    • Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual, or electronic materials.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians.
    • Work in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Client Communication
    • Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements, and content of communications materials.
    • Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives.
  • Quality Control
    • Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers.
    • Prepare sketches, layouts, and graphic elements.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in graphic design.
  • Skills
    • Excellent visual design skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
Work Environment

This is a permanent full-time position with a 35-hour workweek. The language of work is English.
