Windfall Mining Group is seeking a Senior Controller to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate SOX report findings and assess the severity of reported audit deficiencies and inaccuracies.
  • Follow up with operational process and control managers to ensure timely corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
  • Manage control owners in Canada to ensure the timely completion of controls and the retention of audit evidence.
  • Provide training and guidance to operational process and control managers on Sarbanes-Oxley-related matters or issues they may encounter.
  • Liaise with and manage internal and external auditors regarding audits of the internal control environment and resolve raised issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related fields.
  • CPA designation (an asset).
  • Master's degree in internal control, risk management, accounting, or a similar governance-related field.
  • At least five years of experience in internal control, governance, risk management, or related areas.
  • Bilingual (French and English) - will need to interact with headquarters.
