Airport Security Officer

About the Role

As a Pre-Board Screening Officer with GardaWorld, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the travelling public. Your primary responsibility will be to screen the travelling public and their belongings, ensuring that non-permitted items do not enter the secure area. You will also be responsible for controlling access to restricted areas and responding to alarms and reporting any events, illegal acts or violations. Additionally, you will participate in emergency operations within the airport.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a clean criminal record. You must also be eligible to obtain a RAIC (security clearance) and be 18 years of age or older. Additionally, you must be fluent in French and be located near Sept-Îles or willing to relocate before starting.
