Licensed Practical Nurse

As a Home Support Team Leader/Primary Care Licensed Practical Nurse with Northern Health Authority, you will play a vital role in coordinating Home Support Services. This includes supervising Community Health Workers, overseeing the implementation of client care plans, providing training and evaluation of personal care techniques, and advocating for clients. You will also function as a member of the interprofessional team, applying best practice to provide competent, safe, and ethical care for people and their families in various settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform assessments, plan, and implement personal and nursing care for clients
• Administer oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Supervise Community Health Workers and oversee the implementation of client care plans
• Provide training and evaluation of personal care techniques
• Advocate for clients and function as a member of the interprofessional team
Requirements
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant
• Two years of recent, related experience, including one year in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Current valid BC Driver's License
