About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Supervisor at Hometown Furniture Penticton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Communication: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit regular reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Training and Development: Train workers in duties and policies, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
  • Work Assignment and Review: Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Operational Planning: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
  • Logistics and Operations: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a warehouse or operations role is an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
