About the Role

We are seeking a skilled marble and granite installer to join our team at Shiny Stone Care. As a countertop installer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality installations that meet the needs of our customers.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have experience working with marble and granite materials, as well as excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently. You will be responsible for determining layout and installation procedures, setting up machines and equipment, and ensuring that all installations are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine layout and installation procedures for marble and granite countertops
  • Set up machines and equipment required for installation
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite tiles
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marble and granite installation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles
