**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Analyst to join our team at ICES: Data, Discovery, Better Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing data set creation plans and analysis plans for assigned projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and execute data set creation plans and analysis plans for assigned projects.
  • Develop SAS programs to extract and merge data from existing ICES databases according to data set creation plans.
  • Carry out statistical analysis on developed study cohorts according to specifications of project analysis plans.
  • Prepare and review analytic output (e.g., tables and reports).
  • Liaise with project teams and colleagues to ensure project checkpoints and quality assurance reviews are conducted as required.

**Requirements:**

  • Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of how to use administrative data or other large population-based data sets in health services research.
  • Basic understanding of the concepts of health services research and understanding of core bio-statistical analytic techniques.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Well-developed oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
