Job Summary:

We are looking for Junior BAS Service Technicians to join our Ottawa team. The successful candidate will work with our project team and report directly to the BAS Service Manager.


BAS Service Technician Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering BAS solutions to customers within the Construction/Operation Department.
  • Participate in site commissioning, point-to-point verifications, troubleshooting, and startups of BAS, HVAC equipment, and lighting control systems under the supervision of experienced BAS team members.
  • Contribute to project and service group documentation.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Ainsworth's Safe Work and H&S Policies.
  • Show initiative in learning HVAC and DDC fundamentals, as well as Schneider Electric BAS product portfolio.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of BAS Networking and System Integration.


Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a BAS technician role.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to be insured by Ainsworth.
  • Pass security screening as required by Ainsworth's Government clients or be bondable; Reliability clearance is an asset.
  • Fluent in English – both written and oral; Fluent in French is a definite asset.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation.
  • Graduate of Post-Secondary technical or engineering program.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Visio or scripted programming language.
  • Medium physical duties, including standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working from heights with fall arrest protection provided.
  • Suitable for occasional travel with reimbursement for expenses, including mileage for driving.


Estimated Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 per year
