We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Kitchen Operations Manager to join our team at Thai Express. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and cooked to high standards.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with 35-40 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage staff and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and effective food preparation and cooking processes.
  • Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet high standards of quality and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Order supplies and equipment, managing inventory and ensuring that stock levels are maintained.
  • Supervise kitchen helpers, training them in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Degree in culinary arts or related field (not specified).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
  • Able to lift heavy objects and move around the kitchen easily.
Work Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, noise and other hazards. They must be able to work well under pressure, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
