Job Title: Social Aide

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Social Aide to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay. As a Social Aide, you will work closely with our community members to provide support and assistance in various aspects of their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to community members in need, within the limits of your skills and training.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to identify and address the needs of our community members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members, organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of programs and services that meet the needs of our community members.
  • Provide administrative support to our team, as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • One year of pertinent experience.
  • Basic understanding of the services offered by the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay and awareness of other services available in the community and surrounding area.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and build strong relationships with community members.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in Cree and English; fluency in French is an asset.
