About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Project Accountant to join our team at B+H Architects. As a key member of our Finance Team, you will be responsible for managing project accounting, producing financial reports, and contributing to the development of financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project accounting, including weekly timesheet management, monthly billing, project budgeting, revenue recognition, and project and staffing resourcing
  • Prepare project financial reports, variance analysis reports, and assist with fee forecasting
  • Collaborate with project managers to enhance project profitability and address challenges
  • Participate in the creation, improvement, and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and processes

Qualifications:

  • Completed post-secondary education in Accounting/Business or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in a professional services firm or architectural/design firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
