About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team at Bullet Freight LTD. As a Long Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Mountain Driving: Possess expertise in driving in mountainous terrain.
  • Logistics and Administration: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed.
  • Teamwork: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working collaboratively with other drivers and staff.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through tarping and other measures.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possess an AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Transportation Experience: Have experience with international, long-haul, and national transportation.
  • Security and Safety: Possess a clean driving record and be willing to undergo a driving record check.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Be organized, reliable, and a team player.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
