The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Plant Maintenance Associate to join our team as a Full-time employee. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean offices, common areas, washrooms, halls, and other necessary areas to ensure a clean and healthy work environment.
- Perform cleaning tasks including desks, ceilings, vents, walls, blinds, kitchenettes, microwaves, furniture, windows, floors, carpets, and production equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
- Dust, mop, sweep, polish floors, and replenish supplies to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Empty trash and garbage containers to maintain a clean and odor-free environment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on plant equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
- Work independently and efficiently to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
- Regularly attend meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Availability to work the assigned shift, with regular attendance being mandatory.
- Ability to lift up to 20-40 pounds continuously.
- Capability to stand, walk, or sit for 8-10 hours a day.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with potentially fluctuating temperatures.
- Adherence to safety standards is required.
- Prior janitorial experience is preferred.
- Understanding of work instructions in English is preferred.
