We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst - Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

This transformative initiative aims to deliver operational and financial efficiencies to our user ministry partners and the public at large.

  • Data Enhancement & Quality Management:

Lead initiatives to enhance business data quality, identify data gaps, and implement validation frameworks to improve data accuracy.

Create data-driven insights to inform business decisions through Power BI dashboards and reports.

Train users on Power BI and other process improvement tools to ensure effective adoption and usage.

Process Optimization & Documentation:

Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and optimize process flows using Microsoft Visio.

Maintain clear documentation of stakeholder workflows and process maps to facilitate knowledge sharing and efficiency.

SharePoint Management:

Refine and organize SharePoint repositories for contracts and data to ensure accessibility and permissions management.

Optimize workflows and enhance user experience to maximize productivity.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and integrating SharePoint Lists.
  • Advanced expertise in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and macros.
  • Experience in managing SharePoint repositories, workflows, and permissions.
  • Strong skills in creating process flows, diagrams, and visual representations using Microsoft Visio.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and address data quality issues and implement data validation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support stakeholder onboarding and training.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Experience in developing professional presentations and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong problem-solving orientation.
