Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Partner to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care and support to seniors.

About the Role:

The Resident Care Partner will play a critical role in supporting the daily lives of our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, escorting residents to activities and appointments, and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Personal Support: Assist residents with bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and mobility, as well as continence management and laundry services.
  • Monitor and Document Vitals: Record and report residents' weights, behavior, mobility, safety, and involvement in activities, as indicated by their support plan.
  • Escort Residents: Safely transport residents to social activity programs, appointments, and other destinations within the community.
  • Respond to Nursing Calls: Promptly answer nursing call systems to provide timely assistance and support.
  • Assist with Transfers: Help residents move in, out, or transfer between rooms or facilities.
Requirements:
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Possess a High School Diploma and completion of the Personal Support Worker program from a recognized institution. First Aid and CPR certification are also required.
  • Experience: Six months of experience working in a geriatric environment is preferred.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check: All applicants must pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Courses in Gerontology: Courses in gerontology, aging, or dementia are considered an asset.
  • Personal Support Worker Program: Completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program with six hundred hours of related experience, including both class time and practical experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
