Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
- Food Safety and Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of food quality.
- Staff Training and Development: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment to maintain inventory levels and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth kitchen operations and maintain a positive work environment.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Education and Certifications: Possess a Safe Food Handling certificate and a criminal record check.
- Physical Demands: Be able to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Qualities: Demonstrate attention to detail, excellent oral communication skills, and a client-focused approach.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
