At Goodyear, we're redefining the boundaries of tire technology and innovation. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing process by troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing tire-related machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting, calibration, installation, and repair of machinery and equipment
  • Understand and apply knowledge of steam, water, air, vacuum, condensate, and other systems and equipment with department operations
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, physical facilities, and utilities/control systems
  • Safely operate machines, including lathes, milling machines, planers, shapers, and CNC machines
  • Use precision measuring instruments to maintain specified close tolerances while maintaining and repairing industrial equipment
  • Measure, make sketches, and fabricate parts, fit keys, lay out center lines, weld, cut, fit bearings, drill, tap, and align holes
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals, and manufacturing specifications
  • Log or use computerized work order systems for repair and maintenance activities performed
  • Adhere to safe work standards, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods, including lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend, and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Must be able to successfully complete all post-employment, pre-employment contingencies
  • Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright with basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, and operation of heavy industrial machinery, power, and control devices
  • Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Journeyman's certificate or 2- or 3-year diploma in Industrial Maintenance/Millwright
  • Desire and willingness to learn and perform across crafts
  • Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards

What We Offer:

Goodyear offers a competitive pay and comprehensive total rewards package designed with your financial, physical, and emotional well-being in mind. The wage range for this position is $42.63-$44.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and market location.
