We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Golden Electrical Contracting Ltd. This is a permanent position that requires the successful candidate to be available for shift or on-call work, with a valid driver's licence.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in this field of employment, with excellent oral communication and teamwork skills. They will be responsible for installing electrical controls and panel boxes, replacing and repairing electrical controls and panel boxes, and troubleshooting faults.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $60,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for designing and constructing low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase service for single or multimeter installations, determining appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations, and instructing apprentices. You will also be required to renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures, read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications, and determine the selection of equipment and machinery.
You will work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in cold/refrigerated environments, with exposure to dust and hot temperatures. You must be physically demanding and able to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have an Electrician Trade Certification, Working at Heights training, First Aid Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. You must also have valid driver's licence and be willing to relocate for this position.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in this field of employment, proficiency in client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, and teamwork skills.
