Position Overview

Ainsworth is seeking a highly skilled Senior Optimization Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our current customers, identifying ways to save energy and reduce greenhouse gases in commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of building HVAC mechanical/electrical/control systems and equipment, as well as general DDC controls systems and device knowledge.
  • Provide expert redesign for mechanical heating, cooling, and air systems within commercial buildings.
  • Write compelling proposals identifying energy and greenhouse gas saving measures.
  • Utilize building automation analytics tools to support savings initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on projects to ensure timely and effective completion.
  • Conduct final operation reviews and audits to ensure high-quality results.
  • Maintain effective and timely communication at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction, internal and external.
  • Resolve conflicts professionally and expeditiously.
  • Coordinate with customers and internal teams to achieve project goals.
  • Lead meetings with customer energy managers and facility managers to discuss project progress.
  • Support and guide junior team members, including EITs.
  • Meet schedules and deadlines, adhering to company safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • CMVP, CEA, or BCEM certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SEMAC certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Focused and detail-oriented individual.
  • Team player who functions well in a busy environment.
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
